Gophers landed junior Matthew Wood, arguably the top scorer in the transfer portal. He'll make a big impact. He has great shots, size, play-making ability, a wing who maybe could play center, but skating isn't the best.

Drafted #15 overall by Nashville. A big get for Minnesota. He scored 16 goals last season. His total points slipped slightly to 29 last season. The plan is to pump that up with Gophers

He's only 19 years old (February, 2005 birthday).
