Last year, we lost the top recruit, but got the next five. This year, we will get at least 2 of the top 3. I looked at rivals and was surprised that even Ohio State did not get most of the top recruits in Ohio. In Indiana, James Manual was a higher ranked player than any who signed for Notre Dame, Purdue, or Indiana. Nationwide, prospects tend not to be as loyal to the state as their fans.

On the other hand, there are states like Alabama where most of the top prospects went to Alabama or Auburn.

I would have liked a better overall recruiting year. Then again, I would have also liked wins over Wisconsin and Illinois. Those losses definitely hurt recruiting.

Interesting looking back that the #1 Rivals Recruit has not stayed home since Ernie Sims (FL.) did it in 2003.
