Gophers have a chance to play for 8 wins this year

As unlikely as many will think it is to go in to Nebraska and win on the road it is pretty awesome that they even have the chance to
play for 8 wins. Just seeing the Gophers have the chance to achieve 8 wins when they won three last year is good to see.
Gophers run down hill on them like they did Illinois and hog the ball, keep the Huskers pinned deep
and play the game of field position and you never know.
Nebraska will likely be looking ahead to whoever else they play and will not take the Gophers seriously.
I know Nebraska is a good team, and it will take a level of effort the Gophers will have to play there best game of the year to have a chance.

nobody will give them any chance to win, it will be nice

Love the optimism but we had to work pretty hard to score 17 against a really bad Illinois defense. Nebraska's isn't as great as it has been in years past but they are much better than illinois on Defense and there is no comparison between the Illinois offense and the Nebraska offense. Also I wouldn't expect them to be looking past us since they know that one loss in their final 2 games could knock them out of the Big Ten championship game. Pelini will have them ready to play and will try to go for the knock out blow fast. Would love to see us give them a game but I would say the chances of that happening are slim to none, but hey anything can happen.

I have not seen the line yet but i am sure it will be heavily in Nebraska's favor. Given how we have played over the course of this year it would certainly be a massive upset to go down to Lincoln and steal one.

I know it is not likely they will win, but hey they have a shot this year.
Even though there is a chance every year, this is a first time in awhile they even have a chance to achieve 8 wins.
Just seeing them have a chance to achieve 8 wins gives me optimism for the future. I really liked seeing how the guy's rally around each other
in that celebration video. These guy's are going to have fun the rest of the season.

While it would be great to see us get 8 wins. I will settle for a competitive game against Michigan and a competitive bowl game. I'm satisfied with the win total as it is. Just make two of the next 3 competitive and I'm a happy camper.

Next year we should be expecting 7 or 8 (9 being the ceiling) wins though. Our schedule very much favors that type of success for the next two years. Just keep improving. That's all we can ask for as fans.
