I going to be making predictions on TV for all Gophers game this year.

@ USC - FSN
New Mexico State - Big Ten Network
Miami Ohio - Big Ten Network
North Dakota State - Big Ten Network
@ Michigan - ESPN
@ Purdue - Big Ten Network
Nebraska - ABC
Iowa - Big Ten Network
@ Michigan State - Big Ten Network
Wisconsin - ESPN
@ Northwestern - Big Ten Network
Illinois - Big Ten Network

Do we have a home game Halloween weekend again? I hope not. It has been a night game 2 years in a row and it is the same night as section semi-final football.

yes the home game against Iowa will be on Oct. 29th

I dunno, I'd put dollars to donuts that USC's opener will be a nationally televised game, having it on Fox Sports North wouldn't make a lot of sense.

Not Fox Sports North, Fox Sports Net - the Pac-12 has a deal with them to broadcast their games. It will still probably be national, but on a variety of stations (probably CSN in Chicago, but FSN in the Twin Cities, for example).

My worry is that Fox will have the USC game and it will be at night. The Twins are playing in Anaheim at 8 PM on FSN.

That is a really good point.

I can see the non-metro people really getting screwed by this.
A local station (Fox 29 maybe) could pick it up, ant the outstate would be in a bad way.

At least 2 of these games (Purdue, Iowa, Michigan St, Northwestern, Illinois) will be on ESPN2, unfortunately with that annoying female commentator.

Does anyone recall when they start announcing game times? I know some of the games aren't announced until after the season has started, but we should get one or two settled pretty soon, IIRC.

I don't think so I don't think they would put USC/Gophers up against Oregon/LSU or Boise St/Georgia

With the Twins being 25+ games out of of first place, maybe FSN will just give up on them.

Oh no! Not that, anything but that. Let's see, minus having a kid playing in the game, would I rather watch the battle for Floyd or Rosemount vs. Eastview? Come on man.

Generally USC's early season home non-conference games are played at night. So if the game is on FSN, that is a real concern. I hope it is an ESPN or ESPN2 game. Chances are it will be a 9 or 9:30 CDT kickoff.

Also, if it is an earlier kickoff, we better get the boys ready to play in the dry heat of SoCal...I mean we beat the humidity of Murfreesboro last year! :D

FWIW, if it is on FSN you could always add your TV provider's "Sports Pack" for the month of Sept and you should be able to watch the game on the LA FSN. College FB games are rarely (if ever) blacked out in my limited experiences watching via Sports Packs.

If I remember the Big ten announces all the night games usually in early June...so I would assume that would be at least one non-con for us, prob the Iowa Halloween game, and maybe a road game, though unlikely....

I hope you're right about the times being announced in June for the Big Ten Network. I've got a couple volunteer opportunities that I would really like to participate in. I can be flexible and do both, but I need the times. Sometimes I think television has to much power in that as they don't announce the times at least two weeks before a game. Not really fair to the fans in planning ahead.

Boise State and Georgia are at 7PM on ESPN on Sept 3.

In answer to another posters question, they are starting to meter out the game times and stations. I have posted this before, and I know it will be just as unpopular now, but the LSU website for game times and stations is the best I have found, and the most up-to-date. I have it marked as a favorite.

If you scroll down you will see that there are a number of PAC 10 games on ESPN with start times like 9 or 9:30, so, my guess it will be something like that, perhaps even 10PM.

Thanks Sumtime, that is a great link.
