C'mon Heels return the favor: Please, over/misuse Hampton in practice and see if he pulls a hamstring (Yes, its an unfair shot at Fleck and the training staff).

this got me to wondering - is Hampton (at least on paper) the best RB the Gophers will face this season. and it looks like the answer (on paper) is Yes. (good year to not have Ohio State on the schedule)

ESPN ranked the top 10 RB's in college FB for 2024: (last year's stats)

1. Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State (1,732 yds, 21 TD)
2. TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State (926 yds, 11 TD)
3. Quinshon Judkins, Ohio State (1,158 yds, 15 TD)
4. Omarion Hampton, N. Carolina (1,504 yds, 15 TD)
5. Tahj Brooks, Texas Tech (1,541 yds, 10 TD)
6. Ashton Jeanty, Boise State (1,347 yds, 14 TD)
7. Donovan Edwards, Michigan (497 yds, 5 TD)
8. Trevor Etienne, Georgia (753 yds, 8 TD)
9. Jaydn Ott, Cal (1,305 yds, 12 TD)
10. Devin Neal, Kansas (1,280 yds, 16 TD)

Others receiving votes:
Damien Martinez, Oregon State; Kaytron Allen, Penn State; Nicholas Singleton, Penn State; Raheim Sanders, South Carolina; RJ Harvey, UCF; Marcus Carroll, Missouri; Peny Boone, Louisville; Darius Taylor, Minnesota (1 vote)

and a fun fact - there were 45 RB's in FBS who ran for at least 1,000 yds last season.

Gophers held him to 13 carries for 46 yards last year.

Gophers held him to 13 carries for 46 yards last year.

last year Carolina had one of the top QB's in the country. they had 414 passing yards against MN.

for the season, the Heels averaged 35 passing attempts per game and 38 running attempts. this year, without Drake Maye, the buzz is that they are going to lean on the running game a lot more as they break in a new QB.

so the Gopher run defense is going to be tested.

This guy carry a car battery under his pads or something?

That seems like it should be against the rules.
