It’s not too early to make a case for the Gophers to represent the West Division in the Big Ten championship in Indianapolis.

At least not for ESPN college football analyst Lou Holtz, who coached at Minnesota before his memorable stint at Notre Dame.

Holtz and fellow expert and former Florida State quarterback Danny Kannell were asked on an ESPN conference call this week if they saw a scenario where the wide open Big Ten West could be won by the Gophers (5-1, 2-0), who play Purdue (3-4, 1-2) for homecoming Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium.

Wonder if Holtz look at our schedule yet, we don't play Indiana this year MR Holtz.

This is the same clown who referred to Ameer Abdullah as Ameer Muhammad.

He is still the snake oil salesman. Not sure why someone who left every program he coached on probation has a job

Glad I was barely old enough to remember his two years here. Program hasn't come close to the excitement he generated. This close to Rickey Foggie as starting quarterback and passing the torch to Tony Rice.
