Go Gophers!!

So when we beat Louisville to open the year I fully expect us to be top 20 :)

Here's hoping that is the worst ranking we get all year. One of these times I would love for our football or basketball team's best poll to be the last one. It would feel great to end a season feeling better about your team than you have at any time before that.

Whoa... So you're like Mr. Positive Guy on the basketball board?

(Just some friendly ribbing)

Or which side of the board you log into. You walked right into that one.

Lol, you may be on to something here!

The sensitivity levels of each board are night and day. The Football fans are constantly defending themselves to the media and it carries over into other areas. The basketball fans don't care nearly as much. If someone writes something bad about the basketball team we hate them for about an hour and then we don't care, if someone writes something bad about the Football team, it's a personal offense and that person is permanently put on the bad list. The Souhan fiasco just has everyone on extreme defense alert. Strangely, most of the same people post on each board. It's a funny dynamic.

You can critique Pitino on the basketball board and actually generate some real discussion. Say something about Jerry Kill or Limegrover? You're the worst fan on the planet.

It seems appropriate to quote the common man about now: "You are either on something or onto something, my boyyy." :cool02:
