per KSTP:

Gophers coach P.J. Fleck held court with reporters for the final time before next Thursday's season opener at TCF Bank Stadium vs. Buffalo.

KSTP Sports was there, and Fleck touched on his WR corps, the emotion of coaching his first game at Minnesota, and more.

Fleck reiterated that true freshman Demetrius Douglas will play a lot at one of the receiver, as will sophomore Tyler Johnson. Fleck gushed about Johnson's potential, and it's clear he is the go-to target right now.

Fleck still isn't ready to announce whether Conor Rhoda or Demry Croft will take the first snap on Thursday. Both quarterbacks will play. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

Go Gophers!!

Fleck made these points below on his KFAN interview yesterday about the WR Corp:

-the 2018 incoming WR class is very good, did not seem very optimistic about the current group other than incoming WR Douglas
-R. Still provides good "depth" whatever that means when referring to what we thought was our #1 rcrv.
-Douglas is great
-Tyler Johnson reminds Fleck of his WMU stud, but is not as fast
-The ever present Eric Carter is still with us
-nothing on the rest, not encouraging
