Gophers basketball: 700 tickets to Big Ten tournament a record

The Gophers sold 700 of their 1,000 allotted tickets for this week's Big Ten Conference men's basketball tournament at the United Center in Chicago, according to a team spokesman.

It was the most tickets the program sold for the event since the conference tournament began in 1998. Last season, Minnesota sold 502 tickets to the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis.
