Who has the record for most 3's made in a season... Does Hoffarber have a legitimate chance to break that record this season...?

So Hoffarber will probably break it this year if he keeps it up...Thanks for the reply.

Blake has made 33 treys in 12 non-conference games and 29 in 10 conference games this season. Assuming that he will play 9 more conference games, he is on pace to make 88 treys (31 games) which would surpass McKenzie's 79 (34 games) in the 2007-2008 season. (McKenzie made 78 in 2006-2007, and Bauer 71 in 2002-2003. Blake got 70 in 2007-2008)

If there were a 3 point line back in the early 1980's, I bet Trent Tucker would have had the record. He was the best pure shooter I have ever seen in a Gophers uniform and I don't know how many times he bombed them in from 25 feet out -- for two points!

I know we will all be talking about Hoffarber years from now what a great shooter he was - he is really fun to watch and he deserves any records he gets. When you go to the game, it is fun to watch Hoffarber take unguarded shots at the basket in practice before the game. He will drill shot after shot from long range and make almost all of them, sometimes 15-20 in a row.

With a 3 point line though, Trent would have been scary!! He could bomb them in from just about anywhere inside the half court. If there was any Gopher who could beat Hoffarber in a game of Horse, it would be Trent Tucker!!
