The CFP just wants to have conference champions ranked higher to show they care about the conferences. That's why Oklahoma and Utah are ranked where they are so they can jump up if they win out.

However, when Utah loses to Oregon and Oklahoma loses to Baylor. The committee will be able to say they got serious consideration when they explain why they took Bama.

I predict the final 4 will be:
1. LSU
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Bama

Even if Oklahoma and Utah win.

This is the most accurate rankings I have seen of 1-10 at least. Sure NW is terrible, but it's worth more to beat a terrible NW team by 16 on the road than Oklahoma barely beating a bad TCU team at home.

Agreed. A road loss to Iowa is better than one to USC.....
