“The Big Ten is definitely a different beast when it comes,” senior defensive tackle Sam Renner said. “We have won the first three games and then we’re on a high horse and we end up playing Maryland, and we’ve kind of got knocked down. We’re being very careful this year to recognize that when you get into Big Ten play, anybody can beat anybody.”

The Gophers will look to break that cycle against Purdue (1-2) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind.
