On one side you have the Sky is falling crowd. Coach is in over his head, not going to win a game, everything is terrible and the outlook is bleak. We need a change. We will call them the Republicans.
On the other side of the isle we have the kool-aid drinkers. If you point out a flaw with the team you are dubbed as negative, everything is fine, the coach has a plan and will win regardless of the results on the field. Just stay the course....Democrats
Between these two factions we have the Independents. These people see some things that encourage them and see some things that trouble them about the state of the program. In general they support the teams leadership but are also not 100% sold that they are the right people to turn around the program in the long run. They brush off the far right and far left comments and seek out others in the middle who can be objective and don't need to see it all one way or the other.
I know I consider myself an independent and I think the majority of people here fall into that category as well. Problem is they get lost in the shuffle because like the real political landscape the people on the fringes tend to be the loudest and the most delusional.
