When I first saw it I panicked because I was sure something truly awful had happened and even our PR department had to vent.

I know nothing about the inner workings of Twitter. So here's my question - how did this happen? Intern at the sports office did it intentionally? Accidentally? Or was it hacked?
I'm not totally familar with how Twitter works, but isn't that a post from 'RT' directed at 'GopherAthletics'? It's not a post from 'GopherAthletics', is it?
I'm stunned there hasn't been an apology, regardless how it happened.
