It seems we have suffered poor free throw percentages for some time. While we have had individuals that were reliable the team as a whole always seems to let us down. This year, to date, we have five players at or above 77%. Julian is at 85% ( if only he could have made two more at Illinois!), Ralph is at 91%, Austin is at 81%, Andre is at 88% and Maverick is at 77%. They are taking almost 12 attempts a game between them.
I add this as GW has lit a fire on the topic of free throws, suggesting more attempts are generally more significant than percentage. In any case, I like having fellows on the floor that can get to the line and make some. Aligning myself with GW, I hope they can get to the line more often.
