Mitch is your starter!

The Gophers announced their depth chart and injury report for Saturday's game at TCU Thursday night. The main point of emphasis is that Mitch Leidner is not listed at all on the injury report, and is listed as the starter for Saturday's game. Chris Streveler is listed as the backup.

Other changes from previous weeks:

Ben Lauer is now listed as the starter at right tackle. Jonah Pirsig is listed as the 2nd team.

KJ Maye and Drew Wolitarsky are listed as OR as the starters at the Z-receiver position.

On defense with the loss of Nick Rallis, Everett Williams is listed as the 2nd team linebacker behind Damien Wilson. In fact all three backup linebackers are freshmen in De'Niro Laster and Jonathan Celestin the others.

A lot of good news in that depth chart. Leidner the for-sure starter, Lauer back starting, Wolitarsky as an "OR" rather than a backup. Surprised to see that Amaefula is a 2nd-string again, but with so much rotation on the D-line, won't make too much of a difference.

We need him. Hope he is back for Michigan.

Couldn't agree more. The current depth and inexperience on the D-Line is a little scary heading into a game like this where we know we are going to be up against a fast paced offense that wants to run a ton of plays. Going to need the offense to chew up some long drives using lots of clock in order to let those guys on defense catch their breath.

Wow Kirkwoodland lost a ton of weight according to this depth chart!

A 16 pound running back will never make through an entire B1G season LOL.

If Campion is still starting at LT when conference play starts, Leidner will be on the season ending injury report shortly.

Myles Thomas has moved ahead oh Tyler Hartman. I saw Hartman whiff on a few blocks last week.

I look forward to Campion proving you wrong.

While I agree and don't get the Campion hate, I also don't know why he and Lauer seemingly switched spots. I know Lauer wasn't dinged up, but he appears to be healthy now. It just seems like an odd move, considering both were very effective last season.

I hope I am, but he was constantly getting beat last year around the edge. He would make an awesome guard. He does not have the foot speed to block speed rushers. Hopefully Lauer gets healthy soon and they can switch back.
What has happened to Marek L? One would think a fifth year senior would make the two deep.
