Gopher Football: 10 Things To Be Thankful For!

1. We have our best football recruiting class, arguably, ever! When you factor in the character and academics of this group it seems likely this group will arrive on campus.
2. Our awesome coaching staff remained intact throughout another recruiting period. The loyalty is amazing!
3. The transfer of quarterback Phillip Nelson had zero negative effect on recruiting. This could have been very harmful handled differently by all involved.
4. We have another outstanding group of committed preferred walk-ons choosing to chase their Gopher dream over scholarships elsewhere.
5. ESPN National Recruiting Director Tom Luginbill with his nearly 40,000 Twitter followers just called Jerry Kill
"one of the top five college coaches in the country"! That might be repeated by somebody or at the least heard by many from a respected source. To say this is a good thing is an understatement!
6. Minimal signing week negative heartbreak. Khari flipped and Frank decided to go elsewhere. But we acquired several quality late editions to our class and lost no one else, making an Excellent closing week!
7. Lou Nanne will get the facilities plan accomplished!
8. We have great character people in our football program representing the state of Minnesota! These people make you proud to be a Gopher fan!
9. The Vikings will showcase our great stadium in homes all over the world 16 plus times over the next two years.
We will benefit from some upgrades, income and publicity. "The home of the undefeated Minnesota Gophers..." etc
will be heard and seen around the country!
10. Spring football starts in about a month!!!

What a great time to be a Gopher football fan! Feel free to contribute all the blessings I missed! We are blessed!

2013seasonopener.jpgI did the facebook 10 year "make your own movie" thing and the attached pic was one my most liked, ever. All is good, and getting better.

I think the #1 thing to be thankful for is: Pantherhawh lives in Iowa.

#11 The Vikings are tenants in our stadium. If we hadn't gotten the new stadium, it could have been the other way around.

[QUOTEn;843467]Right, beatles. afurry argued with his opinion.[/QUOTE]

Umm no thats not what he did.

Plus this:

No its not, he said "arguably" the best. Its called an opinion.

Thanks Beatles!
It's like me responding to furry and saying: "you are wrong" and walking away. It says nothing. At least explain your premise for thinking it's false. But, it's typical furry...it's cheap shot negative...hit n run....drive by shooting...there is always a black cloud, something wrong, nothing to be thankful for.

He said that this weekend too!
(tweet he was responding to was referencing earlier tweet of Lugenbill watching film of Isaiah Gentry)

Evidently that quote has also been entered into the KFAN Preposterous Statement Tournament. More publicity!

#11 Hageman will represent the U with national exposure on draft day. Possibly being invited to New York?
