GOPHER BOWL Party- POURHOUSE

why would the glc have their viewing party at a different spot than where the u is having their viewing parties which i believe is at senser locations.

Gopher football fans Happy Holidays to you and your families. You are all to invited to the Gopher Bowl Game Viewing Party on Friday December 28th at the Pourhouse downtown starting at 7pm. This will be a great event as it is a Friday night downtown at a high energy location. There is no cost to attend. There will be drink and food specials available.(More to come on that.) We are working on raffle items with the Gopher football team to be given away the QTR breaks and halftime along with the conclusion of the game. We understand it is the Friday after Christmas, but if you are available to attend, please do. A Friday night downtown, football game, drinks….sounds terrible. HA! We look forward to seeing you there. “Who hates Iowa”?

thanks for the info everyone. sounds like there are multiple fun viewing options for those gopher fans who were not lucky enough to be with the team down in houston. btw....the weather is beautiful here today in southeast texas. wish you all could be here. :p

p.s. and to answer this guy's question.......WE HATE IOWA!

Because that email is affliated from the U and goes out to all ticket holders. Goal Line Club is a separate entity. So they are having their party at the Pourhouse.

The Pourhouse might be worth it just for the pint of bacon.

Doesn't the Pourhouse advertise themselves as the go-to bar for badger games?? F__ 'em.

Of course, I think proceeds at Sensers eventally go towards the legal fees of someone who killed a guy then fled the scene and then said she thought she hit a pylon or something...so, that sucks too.

badgers or vehicular manslaughter-ers...tough choice. But I expect to be at Sensers tomorrow night.

Yes it's another badger hangout. But there will probably be a lot of Sioux fans at sensors if und has a game Friday night. Ugh!

The pourhouse is run by the same people who ran bootleggers. A bar that gladly became an Iowa bar two years ago for the Iowa game. They even went as far as to have their staff rock Iowa apparel. So no thanks pourhouse and a poor decision by the glc.

No better way to get a new Gopher bar established than to storm in there and steal it away from the competition.

Yes in the past the Pourhouse has been a badger bar but the folks there are all about making it a gopher bar going forward. No offense to sensors but the Pourhouse will have better atmosphere that I believe gopher fans would enjoy much more.

We might believe you if you didn't pick one of our rivals as your handle. Plus, it's another pun...

How about Fighting PUN? Either way, if folks are out and about tonight downtown please swing by the Pourhouse to take in part of the game. Time to change the culture of this program. Lets get some energy cranked up and go into next season with a head of steam....

I am a huge gopher fan, but you can't blame a business for trying to get people into the door. The fact remains that the Iowa and WI bars probably do a little better than the Gopher bars in the area. I can't blame a bar for trying to stay open.

The Pourhouse will have much better atmosphere and like someone else said, your money won't be going to the defense of someone who killed someone and tried to cover it up.
