Does anyone know why certain players, perhaps the same players (?), run to the outfield wall and back after every inning? Thanks in advance.

Just trying to stay loose throughout the course of the game. Most, if not all of those who are doing the running are not currently in the game and need a way to stay loose in case they are put into the game.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't know if there was some 'tradition' behind it which is why I asked. Thanks for the reply.
