hope it works out for ya and you can get there comfortably!

I drove past O'Hare about 15 minutes ago and there was a lot of black smoke. Don't know if that's the issue, but it could be. Good luck!

Might be a separate issue, this happened at a radar in Aurora. They're saying over 1500 cancelled flights as a result.

Getting routed to Denver and on to Detroit by midnight, but at least I'll be at the tailgate bright and early tomorrow. Go Gophs

Positive thinking such as this can only lead to good karma.

One way of rerouting, that isn't always considere,d is to route to Milwaukee change panes and then on to Detroit.

Was booked on a flight out of MDW at 3:15 today.

Uhm...no.

Kept the rental car and drove home.

Just landed in Detroit ... Let's do this thing. Sorry about your luck UU.

No big deal. If that's as bad as my life ever gets, I win.

36 year old Brian Howard started the fire that caused the problem. An employee, he was upset about a transfer, to Hawaii.

Faced transfer to HawaiiHoward had worked eight years in the center but faced a transfer to Hawaii, the FBI says in an affidavit. The documents don't specify his job title but said he worked in "telecommunications matters."
The FBI said Howard arrived at the control center a little after 5 a.m. dragging a "hard-sided roller board suitcase" into the basement, where he usually worked. He allegedly sent the Facebook message about 30 minutes after arriving and the recipient notified police.

Geez, think what would have happened if he was being sent to Iowa. He would have leveled the place.
