GOOD that we still have 1 more game to play for these seniors. It is better to have an UGLY win, than a pretty loss. And sure, we had BAD targeting play issues from Defense, but overall Defense kept us competitive, feared and in ALL of our games!

8 wins, none were Rembrandt. More Monet, as you look closer, you see blemishes, but there is something here that is special: The Defense. From McGhee, Celestin, Richardson, Winfield Devers...i could go on.

Let's BOWL for the Defense and hope for Offense. ML, is a beast of a competitor!!! Look for him to turn up field and scamper for close to 100 yards in Bowl! He owns the run and PA when you have to for Bowl game.

9-4 would be great record despite NO AXE. I would love to have it, but it only counts as 1 win or 1 loss. Get real people; it could be another 13 years before we win in Madison, but if that means 8 or 9 Wins, without it. Keep THE AXE, Madison, who needs it!

I am there with you on the D - and throw in the RBs too! Great to think we are getting back to a point that we can run on anybody. As for ML - I just hope I can make it through one last game of his career without throwing my remote throw my flat screen.

ML - all I ask is NO TURNOVERS. Let the Defense win this for you.

I wonder where this thread is going?

My favorite part was 12 games to look forward to and watch including 2 road trips. The CFB season goes by way too fast.

Yeah with the tough loss on Saturday to end the regular season I am feeling pretty bummed about the season being almost over. I am going to enjoy the bowl game because Sep is far away.

Will we have Lingen back for the bowl game?

This year- I would trade every win this season for a Badger curb stomp. I'm not normal though...I just really, really HATE Wisconsin. If that had happened- a 1 win season with a win in Madison that would have badly embarrassed them- I would be leading the cheer for a Claeys extension.

Go Gophers!!

We either held the lead or were tied in the fourth quarter of all four of our losses this year. I really don't think things are in as devastating condition as some make it out to be, really?

I am optimistic as ever for things moving forward, and yes, a small part of that is because Mitch is on his way out (for better or worse, I know).

Plausible Deniability ain't just a river in Egypt. I feel like I have seen this same thing posted at the end of the season for the past 5 years in one form or another. At some point, I wish we could stop climbing the mountain and enjoy the view for a bit.

Many of us see it as pissing down our legs against very beatable Penn State, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin in you-can't-make-it-up fashion not to mention barely beating a historically awful Rutgers team at home. You'll have to forgive us for not sharing your blind enthusiasm.
