Thanks for posting. I just joined the Goal Line Club about a month ago and never received an email for this. A little dissapointed as, now that I see what is available, I plan on bidding on a JK autographed football.

I was a GridIron Club member for several years, and got fed up with their poor communication and inability to make a website that could allow me to renew my membership. I dropped off for those reasons. Here I am 2 years later, and I still get all the emails from them (including this one).

Without being too harsh, I'm not impressed with the folks who develop the logistics with getting and retaining members. Also, I attended 2 of their tailgates (one road, one home), and the GLC as a whole wasn't too welcoming to new faces. Seemed a little cliquey. Kinda got that a 'who the hell is this guy' vibe going. But sometimes my bandanna does that to people.

Hope your GLC experience is better, if so, I'd be happy to rejoin.

I moreso did it just to donate a 'little extra' to the program. Not sure if I will ever go to a tailgate or anything like that.

But, yes, I agree the communication from them has been pretty much non-existent. I have received something from the Golden Gopher Fund "Thanking me for my donation" (my donation wasn't very much, BTW) and my tax document if I choose to include it in my tax returns. You would think that if they would want the GLC to increase membership or contributions, they would work on their communication a little more as I donated/joined back at the beginning of June and still haven't received any correspondence or anything yet. Oh well, I guess.

EDIT: I agree, their website needs A LOT of work.

Can anyone tell me if I bid and win 2 sideline passes, do we just get to stand/sit in one spot the whole game or will we be free to "roam" the sidelines? I don't mean to get in on coaches decisions...too much!

Guessing you'll be required to stay in a general area. Home sideline, not sure if they'd let you go from one end to the other or not. Doubtful you'd be able to watch from the visitor side.
 



Thx TR. My son and I would only be interested in staying on the winning sidelines...Go Gophers!

I have had a sideline pass before and you can "roam" from visitors to the gophers bench, but that is supposed to be only during play stoppages. You can actually see more from the visitors sidelines as there are typically not nearly as many people on those sidelines. Especially during the non-conference schedule.
