Gary Mendenhall for Head Coach

Here is a guy that has won 2 WAC crowns, is 2-2 in bowls, and has a surprising 50-16 record at BYU. His salary is unknown, but it can't be more than 1.3 million. I think anybody with the name Bronko deserves a chance to be head coach at Minnesota. There must be a star shining down our way from heaven. He is young enough to still connect with high school kids and obviously has a great rapport with his team. And, the guy recruits decent defense! The #1 QB. 4 and 5 star athletes. That is what I want. 1) Real recruiter. 2) Proven record in football. 3) Younger than 50! 4) In our price range! 5) Will set the world on fire!

Interesting. I think BYU's move to being an independent in football is going to be a horrible disaster, and one where a coach might want to get out. Probably at least a more realistic chance than Harbaugh leaving Stanford - I don't think Jim is going anywhere, especially after throwing his alma mater Michigan under the bus with his comments last year.

I love this choice...his style of play fits with the Big Ten...he can recruit Cali and his teams play deffense...if we could get Bronco Mendenhall...I would be elated!
