The Purdue game is our homecoming and the game at Illinois is the Illini’s homecoming. The Big Ten typically throws its member schools a bone by setting the homecoming kickoff time in advance of the season so that corresponding events can be scheduled and out of state alumni can make travel arrangements. With neither game looking before the season like a 2:30 PM showcase game, despite ABC no longer having exclusivity in that timeslot, both got the 11:00 AM treatment.

Agreed. The other games on 11/8 are Ohio State at Michigan State (already scheduled for prime time on ABC), Michigan at Northwestern, Penn State at Indiana and Wisconsin at Purdue. If the Gophers take care of business, little chance we're not picked for the 2:30 time slot.

11/15 already has Michigan State at Maryland in prime time on BTN. Indiana at Rutgers and Iowa at Illinois scream "early kickoff" so that leaves us and Nebraska at Wisconsin.
