Well, I am happy they won, but it was not an impressive win against a lessor opponent. That said, it will take time for this team to start clicking on all cylinders and mature into a good team. Whether Gray can improve his passing enough to make the passing game a threat, we will see. I do think the Gophers have a better stable of receivers then feared during the summer, so the passing game could very well become a threat.
I beg to differ. I thought it was a solid win against good opponent. The Gophers were only favored by 4. Vegas is rarely off on their spreads. This was also a tough week of preparation, under the circumstances. This is definitely something to build on.
We've got a ways to go and there are still too many breakdowns on defense and shaky execution on offense, but we played light years better today than we did last week.
