v. Wofford, W

v. Sienna, W

v. Western Kentucky, W (Puerto Rico)

v. North Carolina, L (Puerto Rico)
-Hello Harrison Barnes and Co.

v. TBA, W (Puerto Rico)
-Why not a "W"

v. North Dakota State, W

v. Virginia, W (Big Ten-ACC Challenge)
-The Cavs are a good young team that is coached really well. This game could go either way. The only reason I am picking the Gophers is because they are at home and maybe the youngsters at VA won't be quite adapted to the Division I level yet. Should be good...

v. Cornell, W

at St. Joe's, W
-Won't be easy playing in Philly

v. Eastern Kentucky, W

v. Akron, W

v. South Dakota State, W

at Wisconsin, L
-Probably the toughest place to start the Big 10 season. Law of averages simply does not look in Minnesota's favor here. No one ever beats Wisconsin twice in a row at there place.

at Michigan State, L
-It's almost not fair to have to travel to State after Wisconsin.

v. Indiana, W

at Ohio State, L
-Third game in four AT top-tier Big 10 opposition. THE GOPHERS COULD EASILY BE 1-3 IN THE CONFERENCE TO START THE SEASON, YIKES!!!!!!

v. Purdue, W
-This could be the most important mid-January game in Tubby's tenure thus far. Without Hummell, I think the Gophers can win this. However, the Boilers will still be a VERY good team this season. THERE IS A REAL CHANCE MINNESOTA COULD BE 1-4 TO START THE LEAGUE.

v. Iowa, W

at Michigan, W

v. Northwestern, W

at Purdue, L

at Indiana, W

v. Ohio State, L

v. Illinois, L

at Iowa, W

at Penn State, L

v. Michigan State, L

v. Michigan, W

at Northwestern, W

v. Penn State, W

Thants 10-8 in the Big 10 and 21-9 overall

never predict games you will win and wont, the season might not even be close to those predictions. Wisconsin is totally beatable, you forget when we beat them at kohl they had landry, hughes, bohanon. we can beat mich state, we can. we wont lose to purdue imo. we can beat illinois we did it at their place, we can do it at ours. not saying we will win all of these games, just that its possible.

It's purely for fun, no other reason. I'm a little bored today too...
;)

Certainly 11-1 Is Possible During OOC Schedule

But I think Gophers can get to 12-6 in Big 10 schedule. No idea which are W and which are L.

at Wisconsin, W-This game gets ugly for Wisconsin, Gophers win by at least 6 points. We are faster, more athletic, are bigger down low, and have much better scorers. I don't see how you can pick a loss here. They should be grateful they don't play us in The Barn this year, we would win by double digits!

at Michigan State, L-While I can see a victory here, I'll play safe and say loss

v. Indiana, W - Indiana is terrible

at Ohio State, L-This game doesn't scare me (none do for that matter) but I'll play safe and say loss

v. Purdue, W -No Hummel, no worries. While Purdue is talented, we win this game.

v. Iowa, W- Lose to Iowa?...Doh K!

at Michigan, W- Bottom feeder in the Big Ten this year, while we have matched up poorly in the past (against Harris and Sims) there is no reason we should lose this one

v. Northwestern, W- Nothing to worry about here

at Purdue, L- Tough place to play, I'll say loss

at Indiana, W- Gophers take care of business like they should

v. Ohio State, W- In The Barn, Gophers win

v. Illinois, W-A lot of hype surrounding Illinois this year, still don't scare me at home. Win!

at Iowa, W-Again, lose to Iowa? Not happening

at Penn State,W- What is there to be worried about here? Win no question

v. Michigan State, L- Izzo pulls off a miracle (still think we win this game though, but feel like I need to find another loss)

v. Michigan, W-Gophers take care of business like they should

at Northwestern, W- Again, nothing to be concerned about, Win

v. Penn State, W- No chance we lose to Penn State at home.

Gophers go 14-4, no worse than 12-6

Tough to tell. THe big ten has a lot of powerful teams, MSU, OSU, ILL are all top ten type teams. Purdue was as well before Hummel went down. WI is always tough too. I would be very excited to see a top three or four finish.

The top half of the Big Ten is powerful, the bottom half is weak. Teams like Penn State, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, and Northwestern are teams that should be automatic wins, home or away.

I honestly believe that this team this year is going to turn some heads, not only in the conference but nationwide. Bearing injury or anything else out of the ordinary, I expect us to hold a top 25 rating all year and contend for a Big Ten Championship. I don't see us finishing any worse than 4th the Big Ten.

Isn't every team the Badgers play more athletic, bigger and have better scorers? That's never stopped them from having one of the best winning percentages in the conference in the last 10 years.

Furthermore, I can't tell if these picks are cockiness are optimism...

Cockiness? Optimism all the way. As for the Badgers, you make a good point, I just don't see them matching up well against us. I personally feel that we are the superior team, on multiple levels. I can't picture us losing down there for the life of me. Call me crazy, an optimist, a homer, it's just my gut hunch.

I'm just looking forward to a season of great Gopher Basketball and a season without all the BS of last year.

Need some of the Kool-Aid you are drinking!

Bingo. If the Gophers are a legit Sweet 16 team as many here expect, they will sweep the bottom half of the league & that would really help pad the conference win totals. The expected bottom teams in the Big 10 (all the teams you mentioned) don't have high quality big men and will struggle on D as a result, so the Ws will be there for the taking. The only Q is whether the Gophers are good enough to take care of business. If they aren't a legit S16 team, an occasional L to a bottom tier team is possible.

It's hard to make predictions, especialy about the future........yogi berra

If any of you have seen my predictions in the past you will understand why I have adopted this philosphy.
