Florida State at Williams Arena
The Seminoles are 6-1 with their lone loss being a close 78-76 televised contest with UConn and their most recent win being a Paradise Jam victory over Michigan 76-62.
Wins: Jacksonville State 73-62; Jacksonville 90-47; James Madison 84-64; Winthrop 98-35, Gonzaga 87-69 and Michigan 76-62.
Loss: UConn 78-76 (FSU trailed by one with the ball with 13 seconds remaining but a layup attempt was blocked.)
In the season stats, playing time is fairly well distributed; but against Michigan it was primarily the starting five and Chatrice White off the bench. We of course are quite familiar with White who played the last two seasons for Illinois before transferring and becoming immediately eligible for FSU. FSU has another well known transfer, Leticia Romero who famously had to battle Kansas State for her release a couple of years ago.
Probable Starters:
Laticia Romero 5'8" G Sr (14.8 points/g)
Shakayla Thomas: 5'11" F Jr (15.4)
Imani Wright: 5'9" G Jr (13.6)
Brittany Brown: 5'8" G Sr (9.0) 42 assists and 21 turnovers
Ivey Slaughter: 6'1" F Sr
Others:
Chatrice White: 6'3" C Jr (7.1)
Michigan game notes: Michigan went cold in the fourth quarter.

Shakayla Thomas picked the right time to come up with her first double-double of the season.
Thomas had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 10 Florida State pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Michigan 76-62 on Saturday in the final day of the Paradise Jam tournament.
Imani Wright added 19 points, Ivey Slaughter had 15 and Leticia Romero 10 for the Seminoles (6-1), who won their third straight game.
"We just had to come together as a team, and keep the momentum," Thomas said after her sixth career double-double. "It was all about our momentum. We had it on the court, and all about staying positive. Even when we got down, we just got back on defense and started working."
Katelynn Flaherty scored 18 points, Kysre Gondrezick added 17 and Hallie Thome 13 for the Wolverines (6-1), who fell behind in the second quarter but stayed close until the Seminoles opened the fourth quarter with a 16-8 run.
"We just went on a scoring drought," Michigan coach Kim Barnes Arico said. "I don't know if we got worn down a little bit or what. We started to press a little bit and started to force things instead of sharing the ball. We were in a great spot, we just didn't come out the way we needed to."
"They're a really tough team to guard," Florida State coach Sue Semrau said. "But we did a great job of fighting through the fatigue. We did a much better job of rebounding the ball. Shakayla rebounded the heck out of the ball."
