Future schedules

Based on what Coach Kill has said about opening at USC coupled with the advent of 9 BT games, I wonder if there will be changes in the coming years. Could UNC be dropped in favor of a North Texas State, Youngstown State, etc. Naybe too soon to do that. Or maybe Oregon State?

I sure hope not. I am looking forward to playing those teams once Kill and co. get in a couple of their own recruiting classes and have their system fully in place. Once the 9 game schedule begins, I realize they may feel the need to downgrade the non-conference schedule. But hopefully once we get to that point, they will feel good enough about our depth that they will want to schedule at least one BCS team per year.

I took Kill's comment to mean that he didn't want to open up on the road against a ranked (or nearly ranked) opponent. Opening up at home against a directional school would be the ideal situation, which I agree with. I hope he keeps at least one marquee game per year, I like having the option of traveling to a non-con game every other year.

Kill wants to start with a cupcake team at home. That's all it is. His ideal schedule is 2 cupcakes, a mid-major and a bcs, in that order.
