The white home uniforms are absolutely the worst part of the Gopher basketball program.

I always hated the white uniforms when they reappeared a short few years ago.

I remembered them for one ill fated year just after Clem took over and thankfully they went away quickly. Also the team was real awful that one year when they wore white!

My memories of golden uniforms at home went back to the Musselman era when I was very young, and Gopher basketball was always good during the "gold" era.

Later someone reminded me that back in the 60's and before the team the team wore white. That was probably because of the limitations of budgets, and uniform technology.

Regardless Bill Musselman and Dutcher teams wore the Golden Gopher colors at home and that was good enough for me. I have always hated those white uniforms and am always pleased after walking into Williams or turning on the TV when I can confirm that gold is being worn at home. I prefer the Maroon over Gold 100 percent on the road as well.

Oddly enough, I expected to hate the all white road football uniforms, but found them to be acceptable, even though in my perfect world I would always like to see gold pants every time, with maroon jerseys at home and white on the road.

I'll take the black uniforms worn a couple of times in the Clem era over those awful white uniforms any time if I have to tolerate any change.

I've always thought black uniforms with some type of maroon or gold trim and lettering would look cool. Maybe that's just me? I do prefer the gold over the white though.

I hate the white uniforms, just as I do the Lakers. At minimum they should only be worn in non-conference games, far too many B1G games in white this season. Black uniforms would be the only worse option...

Maybe I should have been clearer. The white uniforms come in 3rd after the Gold, and the Maroon. I don't just not hate them, I like them, but not above the others. Like I said, I'm in the minority, and I'm fine with that. If I never saw them again, I would also be fine with that, since they are less optimal than the Gold, and Maroon (in that order, in my opinion).

Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer uniforms to be white or the school colors, not another color. I enjoy having a light enough color (gold) that that can be our "light"jersey, so I am fine with sports using either gold or maroon. Though I agree with Parski, I think the white jerseys look good with the maroon helmets in football.

I like the idea of using the whites as special occasional alternates as mentioned above. Prefer the gold and maroon be used as regulars.

Also note that the gold uniforms have been worn several times on the road in true road games. Not the case with the white uniforms. Just putting up straight percentages is a bit of an apples and oranges situation.
