Fun little recent Tubby story from a Kentucky fan

Wow, that is an awesome story! Tubby is a good guy... hopefully this coming year he finally gets some breaks (and I'm not talking about broken bones) and we watch some stuff come together on the court... Go Gophs!

Comments like this make me wonder about the overuse of hyperbole.

The fanbase?
Hates?

Really???

Coming from the pickiest poster in here when it comes to language, this is quite the statement.
 

I talked to Tubby at MSP once. He seemed like a great guy. He could of just shrugged me off, but instead, he asked me about my hometown and such.

Cool and interesting story, really thoughtful of Tubby to do that for a fan. Stuff like this makes me proud to say that he's our basketball coach, what a classy human being.

I was a little surprised by the comments on the article though, I guess the impression I got from the few Kentucky fans who frequent this board to tell us how much Tubby sucks was that a significant portion of the fanbase hated him, but it's good to see that they can appreciate what a nice thing that was for Tubby to do.
 





Tubby is a good guy and a good coach. With Mbakwe back and a more experienced team this is going to be an exciting upcoming season in Tubby Town.

Thanks Cayman. I just stopped posting here because of all the negative people who had take over this discussion board. Though, it was funny how they disappeared after the NIT run. Also, since I am not a good writer, I didn’t want sound like a fool at times. I assure you that I read almost every post in here. For example, Dr. Don kept his jokes coming while Selection Sunday voiced his dissatisfaction with non-conference scheduling (rightfully so. I am with you SS).

The reason that you see the love for Tubby back at UK is because they got what they wanted. They won NC at what cost, only future can tell???? They finally let it go. To be honest with you, I am not sure how enjoyable that can be with a bunch of one-and-done players???? Are the UK fans at some point in the future going to claim that Davis was a UK player?

Tubby did a great job at UK for 8 years. His last 2 years were overshadowed by emergence of Florida teams. Billy D. did some cheating also (ask Eddie Fogler who coached at Vandy and USC). Tubby won games in a right way just like Keady and Knight. Even coach K has cheated (corey Maggette was ineligible when they won NC).

I really hope that you guys can see what Tubby can do on the court before he retires or moves on. We have had a bad luck with injuries and transfers. When I played sports, at some points, I was in a losing team. It is no fun for anybody but sometimes, things happen.
