Linebacker Aaron Hill says: "I think we're one of the hardest-working teams out there. That's one of our goals (as linebackers) is to be one of the hardest-working groups. I know that's something that (linebackers coach Bill) Miller prides on and that's something that we as linebackers take personally and that's something we strive to do every day."

Go Gophers!!

I'm surprised there was no mention of De'Vondre Campbell. The writer must have forgotten about him. I definitely think he'll be in the rotation, if not challenging Manuel for a starting spot.

Seems Foxsports North was not at the Spring Game. Wilson was running with the second team defense. Jack Lynn was with the first. Maybe some follow-up with Coach Claeys would be quoted or noted before indicating depth or potential starters. This is vacuous at best. When talking about the depth here are some clues Westerhaus, Campbell, Matilus, Wilson are good back ups to Manuel,Hill, and Lynn. The idea we don't have depth bases on starts, is one thing. Talent is another.

It was interesting to hear coach Kill talk about both the recruiting of De'Vondre Campbell and where he is at in his development. He had originally verbaled Tennessee but when their head coach left he reopened his recruiting and had several excellent offers including Texas. Coach Kill really liked the fact that he still has three years of eligibility left. He also said that he is tall and underweight. He needs to put on some weight and muscles. I think he is excited about his potential but he did indicate that he needs time to develop.

Yeah, after reading DL's summary today Campbell might not be in the mix right away. 6'4'' 215 pounds is awfully slender to be playing linebacker in the big ten. I'm excited about his potential though.

Isn't Westerhaus still healing from some accident or something?
