per FSN:

"As we saw this past weekend, there were a lot of upsets," Jones said. "We're just going to come to play with our best game like it's a Big Ten team, try to come out with the win and move on to the next one."

Kill, a cancer survivor who has a seizure disorder, has since moved past that public seizure two years ago. Minnesota, however, hasn't forgotten about its 28-21 loss at the hands of the Aggies.

"We obviously have to prepare mentally and physically so it won't happen again," said senior defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman. "That's all you can really do is create a motor when you're out there on Saturday, just learn from your mistakes and obviously make sure it doesn't happen again."

Go Gophers!!

I'm glad they're not taking them lightly. I sure am. :)

They will not take them lightly. They will pound them into submission just the same.

I know this was the team we played when said seizure occurred, but is there ever a time when we can read an article that doesn't have to include, BUT KILL HAD A SEIZURE!
Jaysus....let's move on, shall we?

I thought the same thing. Honestly it is almost the equivalent to saying he is in a wheelchair. Both are as capable as anyone else.

Go Gophers!!

Have heard a lot of sports phrases over the years, not sure I have ever heard "create a motor" :)

Just once, for the fun of it, I'd like to see a headline that reads:

"Team admits it's taking next opponent lightly." With quotes from players like, "We could beat these guys with one hand tied behind our backs."

I know I'll never see it - but it's fun to imagine.

Well, Brew did completely blow off practicing for South Dakota to get an additional week to prepare for USC, or so the legend goes. I'd call that taking an opponent lightly.

Go ahead and put me on record as taking New Mexico State for granted. I'm taking them for granted.

The Gophers have never beaten the Aggies, and all previous meetings have been in Minneapolis. If you think this one's in the bag, you must have been born at night.

LAST night.

I think the Gophers win, but I'll definitely take the Aggies and the points.

Well Alabama has never beaten the Gophers so I will continue to take New Mexico State for granted.

Schnauzer, you have just made the comment of the thread, no one will be able to top this.

I understand the desire to take them for granted. The problem is that we haven't earned that yet by putting away ANY FBS opponents in the last two regimes. I fully believe those times are changing, this would be a great non conference schedule to have 4 of them.

I don't necessarily have a desire to take them for granted. It is sort of like taking a dump. I don't really have a desire to do that either but it is just the way it is. It is just a matter of fact I'm going to take a dump, and I'm going to take New Mexico State for granted.

Doc will tell you that at some point in your life- passing solids will make or break your day.

Trust me, a good dump is HIGHLY underrated.

Ahhh nothing like some good toilet humor to wrap up the work week.

I thought the same thing. Honestly it is almost the equivalent to saying he is in a wheelchair. Both are as capable as anyone else.

As a former A-hole in this category, even I thought this was over. He is on the right med's, with the right diagnosis, with the best possible outcome. The guy looks the best since he has been here. Jerry Kill has done everything right, including taking care of his own business.

Fortunately, the fans don't play the games so it doesn't matter if we take them for granted or not! UNFORTUNATELY for the Gophers, we simply are not good enough to take anyone for granted, and that includes New Mexico St. Division 1A teams, and even the University of the Pacific which dropped football a couple years after beating us. We have seen 30 point leads evaporate within minutes and seen a team that won 10 games with one of the greatest RB tandems in NCAA history (Maroney-Barber) forced to play in a minor bowl game. We couldn't even get the Alamo Bowl! Anyways - the point is Gopher fans have had to endure more hardships and disasters than an average 10 NCAA schools combined and you can pretty much expect just about anything when the Gophers line up. So I don't care who the Gophers beat, if we win, I feel good for another Saturday!
