FSN: Despite softer stretch of schedule, Gophers still taking foes seriously

Now is when the Gophers' schedule takes a turn toward the less dramatic. Minnesota's next six games are all at home -- a good thing for a team that has been on the road plenty so far -- but they're against teams with a combined record of 13-24. Only one of the Gophers' foes during that stretch has a winning record (UNC-Wilmington at 3-2).

Not quite like the early slate that pitted Minnesota against a few teams that may be in the NCAA tournament in March.

"I think human nature is to say, 'We've got a month to catch our breath.' That's not the case," Pitino said Wednesday, one day before his team is set to face Western Carolina. "That's not going to be the approach. . . . We could lose to anybody, and I think our guys know that."
