Here are five things to watch for in Saturday's meeting at Memorial Stadium.
1. Win, and they're in
2. David Cobb vs. the Nebraska defense: how many yards can he rack up?
3. All eyes on Ameer Abdullah
4. Does last year's win mean anything this year for Minnesota?
5. Will the passing game finally take flight -- or will it even need to?

Go Gophers!!

Hit them hard early and see how they react. If they retreat faster than the French military, keep hitting all game long. I don't think their speed guys like getting physical and will get demoralized if you go right at them.

From my perspective, one of the best things about the JK system is the physicality. In the B1G it seems exerting your will upon your opponent is one of those demoralizing experiences that is hard to duplicate in sports. Nebraska did not want to play last week at one point when Wisconsin was cramming it down their throats. The 'huskers are going to face a team that has never tried to disguise what they want to do. I can't wait to see if we can do it.

Yeah...even it we get down against NE I don't see them as explosive as tOSU and I think we keep pounding and pounding until we start to break them. Ground and pound on the road in the B1G - Yeah baby!

When the Gophers beat Nebraska last year they got 271 yards, 3 TD's and zero fumbles on the ground. Cobb got 31 carries and 138 and oddly none of the Touchdowns. The Passing Game, 8 for 17, 159 yards, a Touchdown and zero interceptions. 4 of the 8 receptions went for 20 yards plus, including a 33 yard TD.

A game like that today should get it done again.

Like every "BCS" games they've won the last couple of years an effective Passing Game combined with a good performance from the Defense, Special Teams and Running Game gets the Gophers a win. 3 or 4 more games of that this season will make for one hell of a ride won't it!
