From TDG - Minnesota Football: The Importance of Beating Indiana

The next five weeks are arguably the most critical in recent memory for Gopher football. Their success between now and the bowl game will go a LOOOOOOONG ways towards shaping the recruiting classes of the next 2-3 seasons. Winning two, or even three of the remaining 4 conference games could advance the development of the entire program a year or two. The difference between 8-9 wins and 6 for the recruits that are still on the fence is monumental.

A better bowl game is fine and dandy, but winning a few more games could swing the meter with even a handful of recruits, and a couple of those could possibly be "program-changers". Do something special in these last 5 weeks and they could be looking at substantially improved recruiting classes for 2014 and 2015. These are incredibly important games, without question.

It starts tomorrow!!

Agree with all of that Ogee, but how about "It continues tomorrow!"

Thanks for posting. I know it's "The Daily Gopher", but I always forget to get that site into my daily rotation, so thanks for the reminders. They write some good stuff over there.

I've heard several things the last couple of weeks from supposedly objective, unbiased media that are disrespectful to this program. "Good win, Gophers...boy, Northwestern and Nebraska should be embarrassed for losing to Minnesota." I'm hoping Indiana, with the the lofty support from Vegas, and it's success over us the last several years, will take us lightly. Any edge helps.
