Free Metro bus/light rail ride to TCF for opener

We have taken light rail to games since Blue Line began. First to the Dome, then to TCF (involved a bus from the Metrodome stop to TCF). Looking forward to Green Line service right to the door. Ridership dropped when team moved to TCF. Expect it to pick up again with the Green Line. Only drawback, lots of Sconnie and Iowegians fans who would stay at Hotels near Mega Mall ride along.

Hope the experience for this game goes better than for the Vikings game. Heard folks waited quite awhile at the Stadium Village station

Just stay to listen to the band after the game and by the time you leave the the stadium, the line won't be long. Sure, it is annoying to wait in that line, but you can instead spend that time elsewhere doing something that is not annoying.

There can be a long wait to catch the bus back to the fairgrounds too. A lot depends on how close the game is as most folks will hang in there until the game is decided.

I usually do take the bus to the fairgrounds. The nice thing there is that the buses are continuous. I heard at the Viking game that was not the case with the LRT. Did I misinterpret?
