University of Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill has announced that the Gophers will have three practices and one scrimmage open to the public prior to Minnesota starting the season at home against UNLV on Aug. 29.

This is really quite interesting. First 3 practices and a meaningless scrimmage on day 10 open to public. Kill really does mean what he's said about an improved team and he's hiding it from public view.

This just may be a breakout year for the rodents. My biggest concern is that if we have a really special year our coordinators will be in play.

For some reason I feel like our coordinators will stay with Kill for a long time. It's guys like Sawvel and Zebrowski who will get hired away first.

No! From the little I've interacted with Coach Sawvel, I sure hope we can keep him. Motivated, energetic, sincere... We need him. I've heard coach Zebrowski speak, but never actually met him.

I agree about the coordinators. I think it would take several successful seasons, for them to even consider.
