Whatever did happen to Friend of Tubby? Was he banned forever? Just got bored here? Found to be a fraud? found to actually be Saul? What happened to him?
 

He was banned long ago. Do you remember when Tubby first got here, FOT would end every post saying Tubby is THAT GOOD.

Ha, would love to see what that guy has to say now.

He was close to/possibly related to a player on the US Women's Olympic Team the same year that Tubby was an assistant for the men, so I think they traveled together closely.

I sat behind the infamous FOT at Tubby's first game at Northwestern. FOT came in decked out in full Kentucky regalia and had an awkward head nod moment with Tubby. Who shows up to their "friend's" game decked out in the clothes of their "friend's" previous employer after a quasi-firing? It was creepy.

Yes I'm 100% dead serious. I'd guess he was in his 60s.
 



i believe it was his step-daughter that played on the Olympic team. My personal favourite FOT moment was when he posted his resume. He was an engineer with a pretty good salary.

He was a Purdue fan, why did he have UK gear on?
 



FOT was one of the most interesting posters on here is a long time. He was really annoying, but always brought something to talk about and got a lot of reaction, even if some of it was stupid. He must have gotten banned if I remember right...
 

FOT was always clear that he had big expectations of Tubby here and that we should, too. He expected him to get us to the next level. He stated 25 wins and Sweet Sixteen berths should be the expectation. I wish he were still posting here because I'd like to get his take on why it isn't working - or at least his confirmation that it isn't but it should be.

What do you mean by "chest beater"? Where I come from, calling someone a "chest beater" means that they're mentally retarded. Are you calling me mentally retarded? Why do people here think it's cool and ok to name call?

Agree. Always enjoyed his posting. People just got riled about about him, in large part, for his name.

Exactly. He was a Purdue grad. Not a UK fan. And his "FOT" name meant a friend of tubby such as you could be a friend to the polar bares. He wasn't actually friends with Tubby.
