John L. Smith, whose 10-month contract as Arkansas' head coach was not renwed after the Razorbacks went 4-8, has been hired as the head coach at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo.

Fort Lewis is a Division II program that went 0-10 last season.

This tweet per Darren Rovell of ESPN: "Not sure creditors should be that thrilled with John L Smith landing another job. His new HC job at Fort Lewis has him making $67K."

Career aspirations aside, that would be a pretty sweet gig. I would imagine he would have some star power there to recruit some decent talent and Durango is an amazing little town.
