Might've been the case, although his career arc didn't suggest a big-time QB. He transferred to juco and then ended up at Tennessee Tech, where as best I can tell he never played.

I won't comment on the drugs, but I can tell you I stood next to Clint Brewster at Iowa his RS year and the dude was TINY. I don't care what he was listed at, but I'm guessing 5'7", 160 at the time. My friends made fun of me after the game because I was so down. I had high hopes for him, but knew at that moment he would never play in the B1G.
