Veteran coach Gordy Shaw has been named the University of Houston’s offensive line coach, UH head football coach Tony Levine announced Tuesday. The 34-year coaching veteran and former Nike Assistant Coach of the Year joins the Cougars after one season as offensive line coach at Texas State.

“Coach Shaw has a tremendous reputation and is extremely well respected within the coaching profession, and we are thrilled to have him join our program,” said Levine. “He is an outstanding teacher who has a great track record of developing and coaching offensive linemen, and he will have an immediate impact on our program.”

Go Gophers!!

Hard to root for Gordy as he (or someone close to him) was pretty awful towards the entire Brewster regime when a change was finally made. I don't know if it was ever confirmed that it was Gordy who was posting here, but it was pretty ugly.

Gordy is a great coach and an even better person....I wish him all the best!
