Former Gopher Jim Cairns died

You wont believe this

but he is my all time favorite gopher. He is from Redwood Falls which is near where I grew up. He was such a scrawny high school player---and to see him star for the rose bowl gophers---i just couldnt get over it. And could he move on the football field. I remember a picture of him between two huge players in high school just to show how skinny and small he was. Thanks bleed for the story. How you found it I dont know. He and Paul Ramseth played for them at the time both from Redwood Falls. I talked to Paul some years ago.
