Go Gophers!!
Old man yells atcloudcrowd.
It's a different time, and Barry isn't wrong that things do take time.
At the same time Wisconsin hasn't shown much progress under Luke ... quite the opposite and fans are right to be concerned about that and say so.
Happens here too when we take losses. The same fans who screamed for Chryst's head (in search of excellence) are now screaming for Fickell's head — in search of excellence.
Hmmmm... Is it just me, or is the Wisconsin program actually getting farther and farther away from 'excellence' each time they change coaches?
But, fans will be fans and they will continue to do fan stuff. To quote Vonnegut, so it goes.

I honestly think you hear from a somewhat different crowd after losses vs wins.
Some users only post around here after losses it seems.
True but the one difference for Wisconsin is I think their fans are really struggling to understand where they fit in this new college football landscape.Happens here too when we take losses.

You are just now realizing that? There are people that are only happy when they have something to complain about and other people to make fun of......I've noticed the same thing.
Some are simply trolls, obviously. But I have begun to think that there might be a subset of fans who — without realizing it — actually enjoy kvetching and complaining, for it's own sake.
Im probably more likely to post after losses. For me, if the Gophers win or things are going well, im usually talking about the game with the buddies in my game day crew and my family. If the Gophers lose or a fame is going poorly, y'all get exposed to my rants to spare my friends and family from it.I've noticed the same thing.

Frustration after loses and venting is totally expected on team message board like this. The posters that piss everyone off are the ones that ONLY show up after loses and their main focus is ripping on other posters who had the nerve to let a little glimmer of positivity into their lives.Im probably more likely to post after losses. Wayne's World lolTrue but the one difference for Wisconsin is I think their fans are really struggling to understand where they fit in this new college football landscape.
They had a really good run but the reality is that like us their ceiling is in that second tier with the hope of getting into the top tier from time to time. Nebraska fans have struggled with accepting this same reality for quite some time.
So when Chryst stopped winning double digit games every year they convinced themselves that he was the problem when in reality it probably had far more to do with the world of college football in this current era.
And on a side note.....could they really not afford to get a little more light on that set in the video.....looked like they were filming in some basement somewhere.![]()
I'll add this.Frustration after loses and venting is totally expected on team message board like this. This is where I was going to go as well. Players can jump ship for money and better opportunity to develop to the next level, that is fine, why shouldn’t the fans call a program out when they fall and fail. The whole atmosphere has changed when athletes are making as much as they do with NIL and the transfer rules changed. Before it was their fellow students that they were supporting that were not transferring every year. Now some are doing that just to chase the money. Now the average football player is making money the average student would die to have and seeing some of these same players transfer for more money makes it pretty tough to be as loyal to the program and its players. It's becoming more and more like pro sports and with that if players are paid and they are not performing, they likely will get booed. The whole NIL and transfer issue swung way too far to one side than it should have and has had a negative effect on college football and basketball IMHO.
