I went to the UNLV - Hawaii game Saturday night and Gordie Shaw was on the Hawaii sidelines coaching the O-line. (I'm aware that the fact that he coaches at Hawaii has been reported on this page previously). Hawaii passes almost all the time so I did not get to see a well coached line at work creating openings for a solid running game. UNLV was a 20 point underdog and won by 20. Hawaii had one of those games where nothing went right. Turnovers, bad bounces, penalties, you name it, they got no breaks. It seemed that everytime a play was under review the decision went UNLV's way. It reminded me of many Gopher games I have witnessed. I predict that Hawaii's fortunes will improve, they can't get any worse than what happened on Saturday.
