Who are some of the names coming out for the Iowa job? Would Ben Jacobson leave UNI? How about Tim Miles from Colorado State? They had a pretty good year. Bring back Lute Olson (jk)? How about Keno Davis? Why did Alford get canned in the first place? I dont remember exactly what happened in regards to his leaving Iowa.

Alford didn't get canned

He left of his own volition. However, at the time that he left, it was apparent that he had just the one year left to really improve the team's record or he would be gone, and he jumped to Albuquerque soon after....

There were quite a few reaons why he had worn out his welcome with most Hawk fans. Folks like SoMplsHawk or St. Paul Hawk could give better reasons / a Hawk fan take on why he was unpopular (my take: he tended to say one thing and do another, and was insufficiently supportive of players that he had recruited himself) and some of them did revovle around the Pierre Pierce situation/s.
