He will be on 1500 ESPN after the break talking about Claeys promotion to Head Coach. 4:15 or so.

He liked the hire very much. Said that Claeys had a good background and a lot of solid experience. Said that under Claeys the Gophers had shown their best Defense in years. Najarian said that he's been watching them closer now that he lives up here again. Thought that this year, even though all teams have injuries, the Gophers have had more than their share, and the Defense stands "with any in the B1G Ten".

Thought the Offense has been pretty good. But said that even though "he's not in the huddle", they could do some things different to lessen the hits that Mitch is taking. "Making some shorter throws" and maybe not put him into situations where he has to make so many long throws.

He didn't have a problem with the contract length either.

That's about all I can remember.

Sort of off-topic, sort of not.... I am not sure if Pete Najarian still fancies himself a candidate for the Athletic Director opening. Who knows, maybe he would be good at it. But if he does, his "Pete's Assistant" twitter presence makes him a non-starter. https://twitter.com/petesassistant

I'm about the biggest opponent of the ridiculous "Pete Najarian for AD" movement that exists. That being said, how does some random fanboy account on Twitter negatively affect his "candidacy"?

Why is that? Seems like pretty innocuous stuff. What am I missing?
