Vanderbilt: FootballScoop has learned that Stanford associate head coach / run game coordinator / offensive line coach Greg Roman will interview for the head coaching job at Vanderbilt. Another source tell us that Vanerbilt will also interview Temple head coach Al Golden.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Mullen and Golden are the final two candidates for the Minnesota job. The reason I say so is because our search has clearly gone into the "negotiations" phase where we are dickering with agents on compensation, etc. After weeks and weeks of utter silence (except from Hoke,) Golden is suddenly publicly interviewing for the Vandy job and now Mullen is "interested" in the Miami job and/or is negotiating a 4-year extension with Miss. St. Seems to me like the agents for these guys are doing their jobs.

Interesting point. I think we could live with either of those candidates.

Vandy needs to hire Leach. They need to change something up to be competitive and since he has a history of competing against in-state blue blood programs and has a tremendous academic track record he would be a nice fit in that program. And he has been successful as a coordinator at a low level SEC program before.
