Do you remember Kansas State 20 yrs ago when they were the bottom of the bottom in football. what happened? They got a new President... Jon Wefald. Jon made it part of his mission to create a credible program so he got personally involved in recruiting a new coach and players. since then KState has had many bowl games. I know all about the problems last year with the basketball program at KState. that doesn't have anything to do with building the football program. I can't believe all the coaches hired in the past 25 yrs at U of M have been that bad. If we want a winning time. You need to go to the president with a list and say "I need at least 5 of these 10 players and I want this coach". Next year go to the President and tell him "I need 5 of these 10 players". In 5 yrs you will have a team. For the coach and a few of the players maybe you say to the Governor, will you make these personal calls for me. We have a great university and a fabulous new stadium on campus. I am sure when Arnie Carlson was governor he would have done that. nothing is easy, but its simple.
