Noticed a lot of variety....bacon cheeseburgers, chili, walleye fingers, wraps, cheese curds, palermos pizza, subway...plus the normal fare. Sure there were others I missed.
 

Walleye's have fingers? j/k, sounds interesting.
 



I recommend the Panino (sp) Poppers. I was checking out the new fare and came across a stand selling "poppers". I asked some dude what they were and he was so in to them that he gave one to me. The popper was breading filled with cream cheese and chopped up jalepenos. Very tasty. I think the have buffalo chicken poppers too.
 



soft serve ice cream?

Did anyone see any soft serve ice cream anywhere. My kids loved that option at the dome and I was hoping for some DQ soft serve at TCF. I couldn't find any--anyone see it around
 

Noticed one of the closed stands near my section said "Future Home of Mayslacks". Can't wait for a giant roast beef sandwich. Very cool.
 

Didn't I see a "Big Ten Combo w/fries" for like $7.50 too? What was that? A sub from Big Ten with fries and a drink?
 



6 inch subs from Subway for $4.50. Not a bad deal. I was disappointed in not finding any soft serve ice cream as well but overall it was much better selection than the dome IMHO.
 

My wife wanted the Chicken Ceaser Shaker but they didnt have them for today.

So we had cheese curds and a hot dog.

i am definately going to be trying it all.

It sucks my favorites at the Dome was the Philly Cheese Steaks and the Nacho Supreme.
 

the ONLY complaint that I've seen or heard thus far was from a concession worker, she couldn't believe that they didn't purchase cash registers for the concession stands, instead giving them little hand-held calculators and a price list. Hopefully this will change in the future.
 

I couldnt find

any Famous Dave's

As a local favorite, Dave Anderson is a big U Booster, and with no other pulled pork option I was shocked.

Famous Dave's is, I believe, one of the restaurants they are trying to include. I have been told to expect that the options will evolve over time and that Famous Dave's is likely to have a presence at TCF, but maybe not until next season.

Okay, you're kidding, right, about hopefully changing in the future? Of course they'll have cash registers. Pretty sure calculators and pieces of paper won't be the norm and were just used yesterday.
 

Bagels, Smoothies and Nuts

I found a small stand in the visitors side corner of the closed end that was shared by St. Paul Bagelry and Maui Wowi. I had an Orange Mango Smoothie that was just the right thing for a warm day. It said that they also had coffee drinks, but didn't see them on the menu. Maybe they save those for the cooler days.

There was also a small cart-type stand in the closed end that was selling roasted and flavored nuts. It smelled wonderful!

Agreed. Rolled with the Subway yesterday and it was definitely the best value I found. Looking forward to trying some of the new things (particularly the breakfast bagel option for $5.00), but Subway will be my go-to grub for soaking up the pre-game beers.

They don't have them in the barn...

It is math rounded to the quarter and tax included.

This isn't Alabama; have some pride.
 


The Dino's gyro with fries was allright but I don't see myself buying much food at all when tailgating will be in full swing at the other games.
