I always hear Flip's name thrown around, is he actually within reach or would him coming here be a pipe dream (ie: dungy)?

Media reports that he would love the job (Dougie, etc) but that the question is more if Teague would want him for the job. If we're going to make a change, I would personally be very happy with Flip.

Flip didn't tweet during or after the game (as of this point in time).

That was unusual for Flip compared to the last few games.

What was he doing??? Who was he on the phone with????? Where was Sid tonight?????

My guess is that Flip is bored and would relish the chance to turn his alma mater's basketball program around. He knows the big 3 MN juniors and is seen at their games so he would have a shot to sign them. He has name recognition and might be able to recruit even more elite players. He does not need money so salary is less of an issue. He is 58 and therefore age is not a major issue.

Maybe he's not on Teague's radar, but he would be on mine. Even if he cost a few more bucks.

Isn't Flip in line to take over for David Kahn when Glen Taylor sells the Twolves?

Flip would swim across the river naked to take this job.

I'd say Flip is eyeing that GM job over on 1st avenue if anything

Except this: His own words are that he will coach again. Asked if he would coach college or pro- he wouldn't comment. Said he likes deveoping players and making them into a team.

I would think if a change is made this year, Flip would have to be the guy. You can't bring in someone who doesn't have either a big name or a prior relationship with the players. And since I'm pretty sure Coach K and Roy Williams won't be interested, it better be someone who is known locally. I've been very impressed with the job Fred Hoiberg has done and I'd sure like to give Flip a chance. Only unknown is we don't know how well he can recruit.

I agree and he is the only guy we could bring in tomorrow who could still land the big three.

@MinnySnowta Flip wants the job. He'd come for cheap as long as son Ryan could be on his staff. Question is: would Teague even want Flip?

@MinnySnowta I know some of the facts, but what I don't know is what Teague is thinking. I'll say 35%. Do think Saul's out for sure.

I had a dream last night that Flip became the coach and even donated some money to the school in the buyout fund. Like I said, it was a dream.
